- Q: How do you make dsRNA?
A: We use the in vitro transcription method. You will need a DNA template containing T7 promoter on both ends, an enzyme called T7 RNA polymerase, and rNTP. - Q: So, do I need to send you the DNA template?
A: No. It would help if you gave us the RNA sequence. We will take care of the rest. We can also sign a non-disclosure agreement, if necessary. - Q: I am curious about the purity of my RNA sample. How do you purify it?
A: For the standard package, we precipitate RNA using lithium chloride. This method has been proven to remove most of the protein, NTP, and DNA template. The gold package offers better quality by using magnetic bead-based purification. - Q: Why don’t you purify using isopropanol?
A: We strongly discourage using isopropanol precipitation because it carries a large amount of free NTP, which interferes with the absorbance reading at 260 nm. - Q: How do you measure RNA concentration?
A: Since the RNA is free of NTP and DNA template, we can use Nanodrop to make a measurement. - Q: I live outside of the United States. Do you ship internationally?
